First of all: I must wish every follower of Islam on Earth an “EID MUBARAK!”
Muslims all over the world seem to catch the worst rap in the United States and amongst their Western European Allies. My question has always been: WHY!? Most of the atrocities committed throughout Earth’s modern history in the name of religious superiority have been committed by CHRISTIANS (Exploitation of Africa, Genocide in the former Yugoslavia, perpetuation of the unjustified land removal of the Palestinians, the Crusades, the actions of the Ku Klux Klan, theft of the American continents from their indigenous homelands, etc)
Currently the United States is at war in Afghanistan and Iraq. Well “technically” speaking the United States is at war with “TERROR” (whatever the fuck that means). I mean can you really combat an idea, especially an idea that is based upon the perception of one’s perspective vantage point. In 1931, the Japanese invaded Manchuria (the Korean Peninsula). The Japanese were accused of using “guerrilla” warfare techniques by the Western world. They called them guerrilla simply because they were using “unorthodox” (i.e. not used by Caucasian entities)…
Anyway, Muslims have been demonized for a group of extremists that used their warped INTERPRETATION of a religion to justify an attack on the most institutionalized corrupt nation on the planet. The worst part about the United States’ corruption is that the citizens are raised to accept the broken system and allow for the “powerful” to effectuate the necessary change, when in actuality those “powerful” people are perpetuating the corrupt institutions…
Sorry, I got distracted by a reoccurring theme.
Now since all Christians are not vilified after Jim Jones’ actions in South America, why are all Muslims held responsible for Osama Bin Laden’s actions? Islam is a religion that ADVOCATES peace. Earth would probably be better place if all people would observe the 5 pillars of faith:
Shahadah: the declaration of faith that there is only ONE GOD
Salat: the {Islamic} prayer
Zakat: the practice of charitable giving by Muslims based on accumulated wealth, and is obligatory for all who are able to do so. It is considered to be a personal responsibility for Muslims to ease economic hardship for others and eliminate inequality
Sawm: it is mainly a method of self-purification and self-restraint. By cutting oneself from worldly comforts, even for a short time, a fasting person focuses on his or her purpose in life by constantly being aware of the presence of God
Hajj:pilgrimage to Mecca while adorning special clothes: simple garments that strip away distinctions of class and culture, so that all stand equal before God.

And by the way JIHAD : is not what us Westerners have been manipulated to believe: The literal meaning of jihad is “to strive hard” to progress in all aspects of life.
